The Montgomery Village Foundation Department of Recreation and Parks is seeking motivated teens to spend six weeks learning skills related to outdoor work at recreation and park facilities.

Responsible for teaching “Learn to Swim” lessons based on thorough knowledge of the Montgomery Village Foundation’s (MVF) curriculum. Functions as mentor to less experienced instructors.

Guards pool and deck area to ensure the safety of patrons in and around the water.

Assists with the operations and maintenance of the Montgomery Village Foundation (MVF) facilities, which includes six outdoor swimming pools and four community centers, to ensure that all facilities meet the needs of the Montgomery Village community.

Assists in supervising the operation of an outdoor pool, according to all MVF and Montgomery County Department of Health regulations, for the health and safety of all users.

The MVF Department of Recreation and Parks is currently accepting program proposals from instructors for year-round programming.

Guards shallow water up to 5 feet deep and deck area to ensure the safety of patrons in and around the water.

The Communications Department oversees the carriers who deliver the Village News to each resident quarterly. Children as young as age ten are encouraged to take on this responsibility in their neighborhoods, and the best part is kids get paid for their hard work!
