Laytonsville Annual Community Parade May 16

Laytonsville

Come rain or shine, it is time for the annual Laytonsville Community Parade on Saturday, May 16 at 11 a.m. Everyone is invited to enjoy fancy floats, mounted horses, marching units, farm equipment and community groups. Key sponsors are The Laytonsville Lions Club and the Town of Laytonsville.

Fun for the whole family continues with A Fun Run and Spring Festival at the Laytonsville Elementary School. The Laytonsville Volunteer Fire Department will have food and beverages for sale. Proceeds will benefit the Laytonsville Volunteer Fire Department, which supports several of the surrounding communities.

Cheer on some of our local personalities, businesses, farms, livestock and clubs as this year’s theme is “Celebrating Our Agricultural Roots.” There is still time for community groups to be part of the parade by registering at www.laytonsvillelions.org. Registration is free. Cash prizes will be awarded at the conclusion of the parade.

The parade route is about 1 mile long, and the parade will start at the corner of Sundown/Brink Roads and Route 108 and end at Maple Knoll Drive.
