East Village Updates

by the East Village Board of Directors

Annual Meeting March 17, 2025
All residents are invited to East Village’s Annual Meeting at the Lake Marion Community Center on Tuesday, March 17, 2025. Board members encourage residents to attend the Annual Meeting and ask questions and discuss issues with the aim of improving the quality of life here in East Village. Residents will hear a report on budget expenses from 2024 and future plans for spending our assessments on maintenance items and our reserves.

Snowstorms used to be fairly common for the Mid-Atlantic region with significant impact on the budget. Board members have noticed how neighbors come out and help each other during snowstorms. Neighbors that you might see quite a bit during the warmer months are usually ensconced in their homes during the darker and colder winter months. But a major storm has the effect of bringing the best out in East Village residents.

Keep Trash in Containers
Talking about neighbors helping each other, keeping our trash in closed containers is a Montgomery County law. Properly closed trash containers are a way of keeping our neighborhoods looking good and rodent population down.
