July 4th Celebration/5K Race
Celebrate Independence Day in your community with a host of activities for the whole family to enjoy! Each year, Montgomery Village hosts a 5K & 1-Mile Fun Run on the Sunday closest to July 4 and a Parade and Family Festivities on July 4. Activities are scheduled so that you have plenty of time to enjoy the pools in the afternoon and get to that afternoon/evening barbeque with friends and neighbors.

6:45 to 7:30 a.m. packet pick up
7:45 a.m. starters gun for 1-Mile Fun Run
8:15 a.m. starters gun for 5K Race
Held on the Sunday morning closest to July 4, the Montgomery Village 5K Race or 1-Mile Fun Run at Lake Marion Community Center, 8821 East Village Avenue, will get you moving the fun, fit way. Montgomery County Road Runners, one of the most highly respected running organizations in the state, will be back this year to handle electronic chip timing, along with the return of high-quality wicking race shirts (while supplies last).
