Montgomery Village residents are encouraged to attend a Recreation Services Community Meeting, hosted by Montgomery County Recreation Department, to discuss recreation services in Montgomery Village. This is a great opportunity for residents to learn about what offerings are available currently, as well as share their experiences and express their needs for future recreation services and facilities.
This meeting will be Thursday, Nov. 14 at Lake Marion Community Center, located at 8821 East Village Avenue. Food refreshments will be available at 6:30 p.m., and the meeting will start at 7 p.m.
Shuttle buses will begin running at 5:30 p.m. from Whetstone Elementary School, Watkins Mill Elementary School, South Lake Elementary School and Montgomery Village Middle School. Shuttle routes will be posted on www.MoCoRec.com a week before the event.
The participating organizations are Montgomery Village Foundation, City of Gaithersburg, Montgomery County Recreation Department and Identity, Inc.
