The MVF Department of Recreation and Parks Strategic Plan identified bocce ball as a potential amenity to bring a new sporting option to Montgomery Village.
Bocce ball is a low-key outdoor game that is great for all ages. How it works: 2-8 players bowl weighted balls on a narrow court in an attempt to get close to the target ball. The game uses skill and strategy; but with easy-to-learn rules, it is a great game for the whole family. Potential locations for bocce courts are Lake Whetstone Park and William Hurley Park.
MVF Recreation and Parks is seeking community input about this proposed option through a Community Forum hosted on Zoom. We look forward to lots of community engagement on this potential park project.
