Fallen trees in the Village: who should you call?
Due to the strong winds and rains that have made their way through our area this summer, residents may be finding fallen trees and large branches around the Village. We want to remind residents who to call when reporting a tree that has fallen either on a road, a path or a yard in their community.
Residents can call 311 or submit a service request online for any tree issues on county roads. Montgomery Village Foundation (MVF) Parks and Property staff routinely reports fallen trees to 311 if the tree in question is a county responsibility.
For tree concerns on MVF property, Parks and Property Manager Lauren Tuori is the point of contact and can be reached at 240-243-2336 or via email at
For trees on HOA property, residents should contact their community manager. That information can be found on our website on our Village Communities page.
If a tree falls on a resident's private property, it is that resident’s responsibility to have the tree removed.
If you do not know whether the path behind your home belongs to MVF or your HOA, we encourage residents to call the main office number, so that your inquiry can be routed to the appropriate community manager or the MVF Parks and Property staff.
