EVP Report: The Learning Experience construction underway
by Mike Conroy, MVF Executive Vice President
The Learning Experience Construction Underway – Construction on the new child care center, The Learning Experience, located on Stedwick Road (between Sandy Spring Bank and Curaleaf) is underway. Owners report progress is on schedule and anticipate an early 2026 opening, weather and permit pending.
The two-story center will accommodate approximately 175 students. Drop-off and access will be handled on the parking lot side of the building and not along Stedwick Road. We look forward to having another new partner business in the Village!
Brink Road Bridge Closure – Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) will be performing road work to mill and resurface the Brink Road Bridge at the end of July. The bridge, which crosses Seneca Creek, is located at the intersection of Brink and Wightman roads, just outside Montgomery Village; however, the bridge is a popular throughway to other parts of the county.
Work is scheduled to begin at 6 a.m. on Friday, July 25 and last approximately four days, weather and other conditions permitting. During this time, the bridge will be closed with no passage permitted. Alternate routes are required, and detour signs have been posted along routes through Montgomery Village.
MCDOT is applying for a Temporary Noise Waiver to perform nighttime work associated with this project.
