Stedwick Signals Summer 2026
Summer is here. I hope everyone is enjoying the many available activities. Around early August, keep your eyes open for news about the reopening of the refurbished Stedwick pool.
Construction has been completed at the Desmet/Mercado Outflow project by Montgomery Parks. They are now entering the two-year maintenance phase to care for the trees and plantings in the area.
On April 27th, a special meeting was held to discuss the proposed fire lanes in Frenchton Place. Present were the Stedwick BOD, representatives from MVF, County Fire, and several politicians and residents of Frenchton. After lively discussions, active listening, and suggestions from County Fire it was decided to form a committee consisting of Frenchton residents, Stedwick BOD, and County Fire Marshal’s Office to collaboratively figure out a solution. Management and the Board are waiting for the County to provide guidance and updates on the fire lane orders for SHC to follow. The community members of Frenchton Place will be updated via email once the information is received.
As several questions were raised about Stedwick BOD, I would like to clarify that the Board consists of Stedwick residents and are volunteers as such we try our best to be transparent and informative. Feel free to contact us via
DON’T DUMP! BULK TRASH COSTS EVERYONE MONEY
One of the perks available to Stedwick residents is the ability to schedule free bulk pick up through our trash company (J&J at 301-245-1002) or Montgomery County for recycling, scrap metal and construction debris at 311. J &J provide an easy and efficient way to process the bulk trash request. We ask for everyone’s help with the amount of bulk trash in the common areas (a.k.a. dumping large household material and illegal dumping of construction debris). Unfortunately dumping on the common areas continues be a costly problem for the Association as a whole. This is especially prevalent in the Forest Brooke and Club Hill areas. If you see this happening, please report it to Management or feel free to call J & J to schedule a free bulk trash pickup with the nearest address to where the trash was dumped. The practice of illegal dumping on community property is an additional charge to the Stedwick Homes Corporation budget which causes an increase in assessment fees for the entire Association. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
