Are you looking to get involved in your community? Do you have a few hours every few months to help keep Montgomery Village moving forward? Then consider applying for appointment to one of two MVF committees currently in need of new members.
Following a change to the Investment Committee Guidelines approved by the Montgomery Village Foundation (MVF) Board of Directors at their July 23, 2020 meeting, an additional volunteer community member position was added to the committee. Additionally, a volunteer member also stepped down from their position. As such, the committee is currently seeking two volunteer members to aid in making investment recommendations to the MVF Board.
This important ad-hoc committee addresses and advises the Board on matters specifically related to MVF’s investment activities. The committee reviews quarterly investment performance and makes recommendations to the Board on investment strategy and policy and approves investment transactions that are in line with the policy. The committee works with MVF’s Investment Advisors.
The committee meets quarterly on Mondays, at 7:30 p.m. at the MVF Office, 10120 Apple Ridge Road.
Applicants should have a recent background, education or professional experience that includes expertise in investment management/banking. Certified Financial Advisors, Investment Advisors and Chief Financial Officers are encouraged to apply.
Recently, volunteers on this committee stepped down from their positions. To fill those positions, we are seeking at least two community volunteers with a background, education or professional experience that includes accounting, auditing, finance, business and/or management..
This important committee is chartered by the MVF Bylaws. The primary role of the committee is to review MVF's annual budget and year ending auditors' report and accompanying financial statements. The committee also has the responsibility of reviewing MVF's financial policies and making recommendations for changes to the annual budget format or to the audited financial statements.
When necessary, the committee also holds interviews of perspective auditors. The committee meets three times a year on Tuesdays, at 7 p.m. in the North Creek Board Room, 20125 Arrowhead Road.
