Car donations sought for MCPS automotive programs

Share This:

The Montgomery County Students Automotive Trades Foundation (ATF) is looking for car donations to help support the Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) Automotive Program. MCPS students evaluate, repair, and restore vehicles in order to learn the specialized skills necessary to become successful in the automotive industry.

MCPS students engage in a hands-on curriculum to refurbish used cars. As part of the automotive program, students sell the cars at three sales throughout the school year (www.cars2purchase.org).

By making a donation to the ATF, you are providing an engaging educational experience for MCPS students. All donations can be used for tax deductions. Donations are accepted by appointment, Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Damascus, Gaithersburg or Seneca Valley high schools; the Shady Grove Bus Depot; or the Foundations Office/Thomas Edison High School of Technology.

For more information, or to schedule a donation, contact Michael Snyder at 240-740-2050 or e-mail Michael_C_Snyder@mcpsmd.org. For program information, visit www.cars2donate.org or www.atfcareers.org.
