The Montgomery Village Foundation Department of Recreation and Parks is seeking motivated teens (ages 14 to 16) to spend up to six weeks learning skills related to outdoor work at recreation and park facilities. Projects may include park cleanup, wildlife damage mitigation, routine playground maintenance, storm water management and more. Due to COVID-19, the typical program structure will be adjusted to adhere to the safety guidelines in June. Some adjustments may include shortened or changing workdays and adjustments to drop off/pick up locations. Selected Conservation Corps members will be responsible for getting to and from each job site location within Montgomery Village, transportation will not be provided.
Candidates must have a work permit and be available to work from 8 a.m. to noon, Monday through Friday, from Monday, June 21 through Friday, July 30. Conservation Corps Workers will be required to work Monday, July 5. Please note these hours and dates may be adjusted dependent on work needs and COVID guidelines during the summer.
Application deadline is Friday, April 2. Interviews will be scheduled in early April.
