The Youth Corps is a six-week outdoor program for teenagers ages 14 and older.  Each summer, we hire a crew of five teens who work with a supervisor performing parks maintenance and environmental projects, including planting aquatic plants, wrapping trees, removing invasive plants, stream/lake clean ups, playground maintenance and trash pick up throughout MVF park property. 

The Youth Corps begins in June and ends in August, working five days per week, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday- Saturday, and the Fourth of July. The program is an excellent opportunity for first-time job seekers and teens interested in the outdoors/environment. After applications are submitted, interviews are scheduled and five teens are selected to work. Those hired will have fun spending time outdoors, learning about the local environment and gaining new job skills.
