Special Events

Baby Plus Bazaar is held each year around February. Residents can clean house and find their gently used baby items to sell.

Annual Art, Craft and Photography Show is held each March and features Village artists who paint in watercolors, oils and acrylics. Photographs and other artwork are also featured, with winners in various categories and age groups. 

Spring and Fall Flea Markets are held in May and September of each year in the parking lot of the North Creek Community Center, 20120 Arrowhead Road. Rent a space or two for a nominal fee to sell what others might see as terrific treasures! Area organizations and youth groups are encouraged to reserve space to raise money for their groups.

Spring Break Camp includes pizza parties, treasure hunts, sports and more. See what activities children can become involved in during spring break week.

All-Comers Swim Meet is an opportunity for residents to gather for a swim meet where competition is done all in the name of fun.

Fourth of July Celebration is an exciting time for residents, summer camps, swim teams and area organizations to gather for a parade, which includes judging by categories and age groups, followed by a variety of midway games and excitement throughout the afternoon of Independence Day.

Halloween Spooktacular Events include story and poster contests sponsored by the Village News in various age groups. Activities are held at Lake Marion Community Center and include games and costume judging.

Holiday Craft Bazaar is held in November at the Lake Marion Community Center for residents to buy or sell handmade crafts and gifts. Tables can be reserved for a small fee.

Thanksgiving Aerobic Sampler provides a sampling of aerobic exercises on the morning of Thanksgiving Day with aerobics instructor Jackie Sorensen. On a day when eating and football prevail, taking advantage of this program is a great escape from the chaos at home while doing something healthy for yourself.

Breakfast with Santa is a special time when Village youngsters get to spend the morning with Santa himself. Eat breakfast, write letters to Santa, make special holiday crafts and take a picture with Santa as you tell him your Christmas wish list.

Toys for Tots Holiday Concert is a free, special holiday concert for the whole family that benefits The Marine Corps Toys for Tots Foundation. The MVF Department of Recreation, Parks and Culture and the Montgomery Village Community Band invite you to celebrate the holidays and help those in need through the Marine Corps Toys for Tots Foundation.

Preschool Open House is held on select dates throughout the year for parents to preview the Creative Playtime and Super 4’s programs. Watch the calendar, this web site and the Village News for updates.

Holiday Hoops is scheduled on various holidays throughout the year. Children in kindergarten through eighth grade have a session of basketball, and teens in grades 9 through 12 have their own session of hoops. Residents must have an activity card, and there may be a charge to participate.

Stampfest teaches how to make beautiful stamp projects, including scrapbooks and cards, from experts. See new project ideas, learn different stamping techniques and have fun with people as you enjoy making beautiful craft projects. Everyone will create five projects to take home.
