Senior Pool Manager/Supervisor*
Starting at $17.50/hr.

Must have at least 5 seasons of experience as a pool manager for MVF, or seven seasons as an operator at multi-lifeguard facility elsewhere, or minimum 3 years of full-time work experience requiring related skills and a current Montgomery County pool operator's license. American Red Cross lifeguarding, CPR/AED for lifeguards and first aid certificates required. Current lifeguard instructor certification is preferred.

Pool Manager*
Starting at $14/hr.**

Must be at least 18 years of age, have at least one season of experience in an assistant pool manager position and current Montgomery County pool operator license. American Red Cross lifeguarding, CPR/AED for lifeguards and first aid certificates required.

Assistant PoolManager*
Starting at $11.30/hr.**

Must be at least 18 years of age, have at least two seasons of experience in a lifeguarding position and current Montgomery County pool operator license. American Red Cross lifeguarding, CPR/AED for lifeguards and first aid certificates required.

Senior Lifeguard*
Starting at $10.30/hr.

Must be at least 17 years of age, have at least two seasons of experience in a lifeguarding position and current Montgomery County pool operator license. American Red Cross lifeguarding, CPR/AED for lifeguards and first aid certificates required.

Lifeguard*
Starting at $8.40/hr.**

Must be at least 15 years of age. American Red Cross lifeguarding, CPR/AED for lifeguards and first aid certificates required.

Desk Attendant*
Starting at $7.25/hr.

Must be at least 15 years of age, be able to work independently, learn all policies associated with the position and a have ability to effectively convey the information to public.

Summer Camp Directors/Assistant Directors

Montgomery Village Foundation Department of Recreation, Parks and Culture is hiring Directors and Assistant Directors for the 2012 Summer Day Camp Programs. Assistant Director candidates must be at least 18 years old; Director candidates must be at least 21 years old; HS Diploma required; college preferred; previous experience working with youth required; ability to become CPR/First Aid certified; approximately 25 to 40 hours per week; rate of pay is dependent upon experience. Music Director

The Montgomery Village Community Band (MVCB), a 70 person, all volunteer concert band founded in 1979 and located in Montgomery County Maryland, is seeking a Music Director. This position is a Temporary (renewable annually) Employee of the Montgomery Village Foundation (MVF) and is open until filled. Compensation [stipend] is negotiable within a set range.

Band: Rehearses nine months per year, on Wednesday evenings. Concerts are mostly local and include: Halloween, Toys for Tots, Christmas Tree Lighting, July 4th, MVF Lawn Theater, and Maryland Community Band Day. The Band's rehearsal facility is in Montgomery Village and includes a large music library and a variety of percussion instruments.

Principal Duties: Represent the Band to the public; provide general leadership to the Band; select music to be rehearsed and performed; plan and prepare musical programs; act as principal conductor at rehearsals and concerts; articulate to the band the appropriate character of each musical selection; determine instrumentation and seating; schedule concerts with the concurrence of the Steering Committee.

Qualifications: Substantial concert band and/or orchestra conducting/leadership experience; desirable attributes include community band conducting, college level music education (conducting, theory, composition etc.), proficiency with band instrument(s), and public speaking (audiences).
